there is a recall on this model for the fuel cap .. you should go to this page to check if yours is ok.

for the mixer it is 2.6 fl. oz to 1 gal of gas .. use two-stroke engine oil .. mix ratio is 50:1

It depends on your gas can size. I recommend ALWAYS using STIHL 2-cycle oil in any machine that requires mix fuel as it is a far superior formulation blend of base stocks as well as synthetic modifiers and fuel additives and stabilizers that keep your machine running as new as it can. Alway check the side of the oil bottle to see that it corresponds with the size gas can you have. Genarally, people will purchase a small can for weed wackers and such, about a gallon or two, or what has been becoming more popular 2.5 gallon cans. The current industry standard is 50:1 fuel vs. oil mix for ANY 2-cycle equipment, regardless of age or manufacturer. I hope this helps better than the other answers ;)
