Why is my washing machine running hot water on cold setting?
Make sure that your hot and cold water supply hoses are not reversed. Some washers have an ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) switch that regulates fill water. ... If the switch on your washer sensed this in error, it would fill with hot water instead of cold. You may need to replace this switch.
