Replacing the Hard Water Filter The hard water filter will help filter minerals that reduce the effectiveness of the steam cleaner. Depending on the hard water conditions and the level of the filter should be replaced every 6 months. 17 The interval between filter replacement depends on hard water conditions and/or frequency of usage.
