I an getting a message that a game won't play with my resoloution how do I fix this

You can change the resolution your monitor displays in the control panel.

Click Start > Control Panel > Display > Resolution

You will see different resolutions compatible with the monitor in use. The higher the numbers, the greater the resolution is.

Please note: If you change to a higher resolution your monitor may not function properly. If this should occur, then lower back down to the recommended (default) resolution

The simplist way is to click start> control panel> display> adjust resolution, this is in Win 7. I think that this will work on other windows versions.
