Grinding Noise When Moving In Reverse

I just bought a 94 z28 that had been sitting for an unknown period of time. While backing up there is a grinding noise coming from the rear end. Hard to tell if it's brake noise or axel noise. Also engine is running a lil rough. Oil pressure gauge is low,I think, at idle as well. Also the battery gauge fluctuates at idle as well. I've never owned one of these vehicles do I'm not sure if some of these things are normal or not. Obviously the grinding noise and rough idle I know is not normal but as for oil pressure and battery gauge I'm not sure. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
