How Do I Get The Check Engine Light To Go Off

Hi, the check engine could be caused by many different things, so it's hard to say exactly what will fix it. Sometimes just not having the gas cap closed all the way will cause it, so try loosening and then tightening the gas cap, then starting the car again. (Make sure the gas cap clicks at least 3 or 4 times.)
If the check engine light remains on, you can see what the problem is with an OBD code scanner. One of these scanners will tell you where the problem is coming from (such as a bad oxygen sensor) and it can also reset the code so the check engine light will go away.
