Power Problem.

I bought this laptop used with no power supply/charger. I bought the power supply used and plugged it into the laptop. Unplugged the power supply has a constant green light, but when it is plugged into the laptop, the green light blinks. With the laptop plugged in, it will not start up when I press the power button. Any suggestions?

This is the correct power supply for the D600: http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-power-Supply-Dell-Latitude/dp/B001BTRMGE

Assuming that you got the right one then I would say it's a bad battery.

Does it power up on the internal battery alone?  Really sounds like either a bad battery or a bad internal power regulator.

You might be able to get the battery checked out at a repair shop or just buy a new one.  You can get them at numerous online sources such as http://www.laptopbatterystore.com/category/dell-latitude-d610-batteries?source=google-Dell&gclid=CJqro9WzoqkCFRRigwodzWwBtA.  The smaller capacity battery is around $40.
