How Do I Eject Cd/dvd From The Laptop?

There is a touch-sensitive "Eject" button above your keyboard, in line with the function keys. Just touch that, and the disc should eject. Select applicable software may also be able to do the task for you, but the keyboard button is the most direct way to do this. The button is understandably easy to miss since it's not on the side of the laptop, as is the case with most computers.

Download Driver ... type in Service Tag.

 

Download Dell Applications.

 

Download QUICKSET 64

 

Once installed the eject button (top row - 3rd from right) will work.

The 'Fn' button is not required.

I am having the same issue!! the eject button will not work! I have to go all the way to My Computer to right click the DVD drive, and click "eject". Too much work if you ask me...

I had the same problem. To solve it you need to download the Quickset driver from dell.com. Install it and the problem will be fixed.

There's usually an eject button mounted in the dvd tray. If not you can eject in windows explorer right click on your dvd drive and click eject.
