Hi, you can certainly have cable and DISH connected to the same TV and then you will be able to switch between the two by changing the inputs on your TV. For instance, have the DISH receiver connected via HDMI, Component or RCA cables and the cable connected via coax. You would find the cable picture on channel 3 or 4 and then use the applicable TV input for the DISH receiver. Please email me if you need more assistance, thank you!
