Cat Location

I am planning on putting dual smokestacks on my 1996 dodge 2500 turbo diesel and in Virginia where i live it is illegal to not have a catalytic converter. I cannot remember if my CAT is under the cab or the bed. Please help. If it is under the bed how can i still put stacks on and keep the CAT.
