2008 Dodge Magnum Will Not Start. The Dealership Had No Idea.

I have a 2008 Dodge Magnum and I have had it hook up to the computer at the local Dodge Service Center. It keeps saying the battery in the key needs to be changed. I have a dummy key and it doesn't have a battery. So they thought it may be a bad code in the key. They programed me a new key and now nothing. It activated the alarm. At first I could jump it off. I have checked the battery and the alternator.
