Need An Account Deleted Or Help Getting Into It Again

Last December - my account was "phished".  Facebook's response to this was to change my password.  Upon doing that - I was never able to regain access to that account.  Since then - I have reopned another account under the same screen name.  I have tried every avenue to elicit help from Facebook to either cancel my original account or assist me in regaining access.  My emails, letters, phone messages and even complaints to the BBB have been ignored.  I have photos of my children on my 1st account that I do not wish displayed any longer as I have no control over it.  I need to speak to a LIVE perosn at FB to help me either regain access to that original account or close it down entirely.

Here is all the info I could find on why this is happening. Hope it helps.

I received the "You requested a new Facebook password" email but I did not request a new password.

If you have received a Facebook password reset email that you did not request, it is likely that someone accidentally entered your email address or username when attempting to log in to their account. This often happens if you have a popular username or email address. As long as you do not click the link contained in the email, no action will be taken, and your account will remain secure.

However, if you receive a second email confirming that your password was reset, please visit the our Security section and take steps to secure your account. /help/?faq=17511

I am not receiving the email to reset my password.

  1. Check the Junk/Spam mail folder in your email account in case the email to reset your password was misdirected by your email provider.
  2. Remember to check the inbox of all email addresses and mobile numbers to which you may have sent the password reset email. When you request a password reset, you will see a list of any email addresses and mobile numbers confirmed on your account. Note that for security reasons, parts of the email addresses and phone numbers will be hidden (e.g., [email protected], xxxxxxx5555).
  3. If you’re unable to find the password reset email, try to reset your password again by clicking here.
  4. After requesting a password reset a second time, if you still do not receive the email, wait 24 hours and try again. We may be experiencing temporary site issues that are affecting password reset emails.
  5. If you’re still not receiving the password reset email after the trying the four steps above, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to make sure they’re not blocking email traffic coming from Facebook.

Tip: For security reasons, we limit the number of password resets that can be requested for an account in a short period of time. If you request to reset your password too many times too quickly, you may be blocked from requesting more for a short period of time. If this happens, wait 24 hours and try again.

I can’t receive the email to reset my password, because I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account.
