How To Use My Previous Profile Vanity Url/username For My Facebook Page?

Had used my company name on my old fb profile as a vanity URL now tried converting profile into page hoping that would give me a page with the URL. Gave me tons of error messages. So i gave up. Realized then, that Facebook deleted my username/URL. So I created a new page, tried creating a username/URL, and it's not available. Search will still have my old profile pop up but the URL no longer works. Should it now not be available to use for my new page? Or is there a timeframe before it becomes available again? Any way I can contact Facebook to resolve this matter? Or will it not let me set a username until I reach 25 fans like it was in the past? It does let me search for a username and when I search for it it just gives me the "username not available". Help?
