This is a long shot, but I would insulate the fuel lines, especially inside the engine compartment. If the fuel lines are near the exhaust (doubtful), insulate them as well. Could be vapor lock. The fuel gets too hot and vaporizes and it will not ignite in the combustion chamber correctly.
Most auto parts stores stock exhaust header pipe wrap or something similar to keep heat off of starters and fuel lines.
