how to reset my 2002 ford explorer anti-theft device

The system should reset if you unlock the doors with a remote keyless entry fob, if you open the door with the key, or insert the key in the ignition and start the car. If the anti-theft module is out of sync with the key, you will have to tow your truck to a dealer and have the dealer reprogram the keys and computer with a scan tool
.
