We Have A Uv 5460 Uv Printer And The Lcd Screen Is Out

Blank Control Panel Display Issue The control panel display on an ENVY, Officejet, or Photosmart product is blank, black, or blurry when the product is turned on. The Power button () light is on steady, and the lights on the control panel are not blinking or flashing. If you see blinking lights on the control panel, search for a ‘Blinking Lights’ document for your product. Try the following solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. When one of the solutions resolves the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting. Solution one: Check the control panel display Follow these steps to check the control panel display.
  1. Some products are shipped with protective film or colored promotional stickers on the control panel display. Remove any protective film or promotional stickers.
  2. Look directly at the control panel display. Do not view it from the side, the top, or the bottom. Some control panel displays are adjustable, and can be raised or lowered to adjust the viewing angle.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
Solution two: Check the power cord
  1. Press the Power button () to turn off the product.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  4. Disconnect any additional cables (Ethernet, USB) from the rear of the product.
  5. Remove any other devices (USB flash drive, memory cards, etc.) from the product.
  6. Check the power cord for any physical damage. If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  8. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
  9. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, reconnect the additional cables (Ethernet or USB). You do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
Solution three: Turn the product off and then on again
  1. Press the Power button () to turn the product off.
  2. Wait 60 seconds, and then press the Power button () to turn the product back on.
  3. If the product does not turn off when the Power button () is pressed, wait three minutes, and then proceed to the next solution.
Solution four: Plug the product directly into an electrical outlet Plug the product directly into an electrical outlet to make sure that the power source functions correctly.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  2. Unplug the power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors.
  3. Plug the power cord directly into an electrical outlet.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  5. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  6. Try the task again. If the issue persists, try a different electrical outlet.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
Solution five: Reset the product Follow these steps to reset the product.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Wait 10 seconds, and then plug the power cord directly into the electrical outlet.
  4. Connect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  5. Many power cords have an LED light on the power module or on the end of the cord that plugs into the product. Make sure the LED light is lit and steady.
  6. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
Solution six: Service the product Contacting HP for service in Asia Pacific. If you have completed all the preceding steps and are still experiencing a problem, you may need further assistance from HP to remedy your concern. Please contact HP using one of the options found at Contact HP to obtain service. Contacting HP for service in all countries/regions except Asia Pacific. If you have completed all the preceding steps and are still experiencing a problem, service the product. Determine if your product is in warranty or out of warranty. If you need help determining your product’s warranty status, go to HP’s Warranty Check Tool.
  • If your product is in warranty, Contact HP to obtain service.
  • If your product is out of warranty, Contact HP to find an authorized service provider or to setup service (fees might apply).
