How Can I Change The Schedule So It Doesn't Revert Back To Following Schedule

Every time I cancel the old schedule and enter a new one it doesn't seem to matter as the "following schedule recovery" comes on. I have tried many ways to have the heat come on 7 days a week at 7:30 am but it keeps reverting back to the old one where I had in come on at 5:30am.I even tried taking the batteries out to see if that would rest it and it made no difference. Thanks

It sounds like your Honeywell TH8320U1008 thermostat is still using the "following schedule recovery" feature, which is designed to gradually adjust the temperature settings so that the desired temperature is reached at the scheduled time, even if the thermostat was set to a different temperature before.

To disable the "following schedule recovery" feature, you will need to access the thermostat's menu and change the appropriate settings. Here are the steps:

  1. Press the "Menu" button on your thermostat.
  2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Schedule" option, and press "Select".
  3. Select the day you want to change the schedule for (e.g. Monday), and press "Edit".
  4. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the time you want the heat to come on (e.g. 7:30am), and press "Select".
  5. Use the arrow keys to set the desired temperature for that time, and press "Done".
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each day of the week you want to change the schedule for.
  7. When you have finished editing the schedule, use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Options" menu, and press "Select".
  8. Navigate to the "Smart Response" option, and press "Select".
  9. Use the arrow keys to set the "Smart Response" option to "Off", and press "Done".

By turning off the "Smart Response" feature, you will disable the "following schedule recovery" and the thermostat should follow the new schedule you have set without reverting back to the old one.
