Ignition Switch Replacement

my car won't start at times. I turn the key and get nothing at all. The battery is good and i have plenty of power. I just get dead no reaction when I turn the key in ignition. No starter noise or cranking, nothing at all. agter a while she will sometimes start with no hesitation at all, as if there was nothing wrong to begin with. Other times I try to start and agin I get no reaction at all. It seems like an electrical problem of sorts. It acts like there is no power passing beyond the keyed ignition to the starter or selinoid. Its just dead, but everything else is working in car.
