Flashing Red Light
I have a 2010 veracruse and a red light started flashing on and off, what causes this

That is the Immobalizer sytem . Read more about it here https://www.helpowl.com/a/Hyundai/2010-Veracruz/Manuals/319 - Also, removing and inserting the key and leaving it at the ON position may reset it. Even removing the negative battery terminal with the key in the ignition will sometime do. Allow 15 minutes for each method.
