Bluetooth Pairing Phone Into Car. Not Able To Advance The Songs Using Steering

After pairing my android phone to my car, I was able to get the volume to adjust but cannot advance songs using controls on my steering wheel. I really want this to work. I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata.
