K9 Internet Protection

when I download K9 to my computer it causes that I can not bring up any website or browser. when I uninstall it everything works well. Can you please help me since I need this protection on my computer, since I have children at home my wife and I feel better if we can install it without cause us problems. Thanks Loads for your help
