Message That I Cannot Register With My Email

several years ago I signed up for match. I later cancelled yet they continue to bill me. I had to go through my credit card company and finally was taken care of and charges reversed from when I cancelled. I tried to day to join again and get this message: teh email address you entered cannot be used to registred. Please use another email. Have I been benned?
