Bought my new Maytag MEDC400VW 16 months ago based on great reviews on consumerresearch.com - dryer now making grinding noise and does not dry clothes just 4 months after the warranty expired - researched net only to find horrow stories of Sears/Maytag repair warranty scams where the customer eats the repair costs most everytime - and we wander why LG products are sweeping US market share - I'm on my way to buy a new LG sadly never to return to Maytag - they are just not what they used to be with regard to quality.
