Battery Cabels

which is the positive cable for battery on mazda protege5 2002.  is it the one nearest the front fender or nearest the dash board

The positive battery cable should be red and the negative battery cable should be black. The positive battery cable usually has a thick cable and a thinner wire coming out from it, while the negative cable is usually just one thick cable.
