Plazma High Def Cable Tv

We have regular cable coming into our home with cable hooked directly to a new plazma tv without cable box. It appears as though we are seeing high defintion channels, but are we actually seeing high def with this connection? Are we suppose to use some sort of box from mediacom to recieve high defition signal?

It is possible if you have a QAM tuner, but only local channels. There are HD digital boxes available, which will also allow you to pick up and premium channels you recieve in HD as well as HD on Demand and HD PPV. You can contact customer service at 800-332-0245.
