How To Determine If A Cd Is Damaged Due To Heat

I have a movie (Avator),that was stored in an outside storage locker for 1 year while the outside temperature was 100 degrees for a month. When I try to play the movie it gives me a diek error messag.  I can play other cd's that were in the same box. Does that mean this movie is ruined or can I restore the disks.
