Identifying Speaker Wires

the Pioneer TS-TRX40 has brown leads; is the one with the black tracer positive or negative?

Wire with the black tracer is Negative.

Most stereo's (amps) use a "floating ground" whereas the negative wire is not at ground potential so NEVER ground the negative wire to the chassis or the amp will die a terrible death in short order.
