Driver Side Floor Mat

Can't remove the driver side floor mat!!! Any solution?

First pull up the door mat and apply this solution

This will sound weird but WILL work...Use creamy peanut butter! Work it into the gum and it will disolve it! Then just wash out the peanut butter with soap/water and taa daa! No more gum and no damage to the floor mat!

And after sometime pull out the floor mat.
