10 bar, 10 ATM, 100 Meter (100M) water resistant is suitable for swimming and water sports. 20 bar, 20 ATM, 200 Meter (200M) water resistant is suitable for professional sports. Deep diving is recommended only to do with a divers watch.

I hope this is helpful? PLEASE "ACCEPT" and mark it "HELPFUL" to complement my little effort. Hope to bring you more detailed answers

Yes, it is safe to swim with a Seiko watch that is marked water resistant to 10 BAR. 10 BAR is equivalent to 100 meters, which is the standard depth for recreational swimming. However, it is important to note that water resistance is not a guarantee that your watch will be watertight. It is still possible for water to get into your watch if you are not careful.

Here are some tips for swimming with your Seiko watch:

Avoid swimming in rough water or in areas with strong currents.

Do not press the buttons on your watch while you are swimming.

Rinse your watch with fresh water after swimming.

Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures or to chemicals.

Wearing a Seiko watch that is marked as water-resistant to 10 BAR (100 meters) should generally be safe for swimming and other water-related activities. This level of water resistance implies that the watch can withstand pressures equivalent to being submerged in water up to 100 meters deep.

However, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

1. **Water Resistance Ratings**: Water-resistant ratings are based on laboratory tests under specific conditions. Over time, factors like temperature changes, impact, and aging of seals can affect the watch's water resistance. Regular maintenance and occasional pressure testing are recommended to ensure the watch's continued water resistance.

2. **Activities**: While a watch rated for 10 BAR water resistance should be suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and other water sports, it might not be suitable for deep diving. Scuba diving and other activities involving high pressure and rapid changes in pressure could exceed the watch's water resistance capabilities.

3. **Seals and Gaskets**: To maintain the watch's water resistance, ensure that the crown (winding stem) is securely screwed down or pushed in (if it's a screw-down or push-in crown). Also, periodically check and replace the seals and gaskets to prevent water from entering the watch.

4. **Rinse After Use**: After swimming, especially in saltwater or chlorinated pools, rinse the watch with fresh water to remove any potential corrosive substances that could affect its longevity.

5. **Avoid Extreme Temperatures**: Extreme temperature changes can affect the seals and gaskets in the watch, potentially compromising its water resistance.

6. **Regular Servicing**: It's recommended to have your watch serviced by an authorized service center to ensure its continued water resistance and overall functionality.

Remember that while a watch may be marked with a certain water resistance rating, it's important to exercise caution and adhere to the manufacturer's guidelines to prolong the watch's lifespan and ensure its proper functioning. If you're planning to engage in any water-related activities beyond what the watch's rating suggests, you might want to consider a more specialized diving watch with a higher water resistance rating.
