Do I Need A Drain Hose For Ac Function Only?

Just purchased a sharp cv10nh portable ac unit...excellent but am on vacation and just wondered if it needed a drain hose installed if I am only using the ac funciton

yes, the line is a condensation line if you dont have one youll have a wet floor
