Have A Sharp Aquos Tv, Model Lc-42d43u...picure Fades Out. No Picture
before picture fades out, receive a color scoth color pattern, then scrren goes black and out, sounds is fine, just no picture. Then turn off the set, wait a few mins, the picture will come back on, for a few mins then repeat as above, then goes blank, with sound but no picture..Whats the problem, and esitmate cost to repair is ?

Sounds like the power supply or control board has failed. Hard to tell without touching the unit.
The power supply could be overheating, cooling, then overheating again which would explain the image going in and out.
Trouble is without a thorough diagnostic it's really hard to tell.
Expect to pay between $60 and $100 and hour for tech time. Get the rate up front before having any work done from you local shop and make sure the diagnostic ciosts will be applied to the final bill or you may get double charged.
