Greetings. What the issue is will depend on the type of phone you are using (the make and model). And also what may have happened soon before the screen went blank (like falling, getting wet, etc).

1. The flex may have beed damaged if it is a flipping T-Mobile device.

2. The Screen connector may have come loose and must need be adjusted.

3. Water can damage the screen

4. The phone's back light may have gone bad

5. The screen may have failed and must need be replaced.

6. And it could also stem from a mechanical failure along the screen mechanism.
