Does Tripadvisor Partake In Rental Agreements? Is This A Scam?

I reached out to someone about an apartment listing and he claims to have a relationship with TripAdvisor for renting. He's asking for a deposit within 24hours (or at least TripAdvisor is he says). This is what he sent me? Is this legit or a scam? As I told you I am in Greece, but this is not a problem because I have a contract with TripAdvisor and they will handle our transaction.Here is a brief description of how it works:I will need your full name and address so you can receive your invoice as a potential tenant from TripAdvisor.Once I will receive your info I will forward them to TripAdvisor.You will receive an invoice for a total of 900$ (safety deposit) from them directly to your email address, where you will find their payment informations.You will complete the deposit and send to TripAdvisor your payment confirmation.After TripAdvisor will receive and confirm your deposit, I will come in US and show you the apartment (I can not come there before because without TripAdvisor insurance I will lose 1000$ worth of plane tickets and 3 days of work).You will have 2 days available to decide whether you want to rent or not my place.In case you want to rent it we will go and sign the contract the apartment will be yours (we can sign a month to month contract, 6 months or 1 year with renewal option in case you still want it) and TripAdvisor will grant me access to your deposit.In case you do not want to rent the apartment for any reason you will receive a refund from TripAdvisor in 2/3 days no fees charged.Please read carefully before you decide to go further because when I will register you at TripAdvisor they will charge me their fees instantly.In the event that you understood all TripAdvisor terms and conditions please send me your full name and address and also a copy from your passport / identity card.
