Service Call To My Home In Regards To Computer Or Modem Malfunction

on monday I contacted windstream at 18003471991. We went through the standard on line test and I was told about 300 peoplehad reported an outage due to a transformer and that was asked to remain near phone for 24 to 48 hours for service to call me back, which was allright because I was disabled. I thought about this and I talked to neighbors and noobody else had a problem, so this strategy made little sense. I agin called 600 3471991 and spoke to a very nice lady named, I believe Valerie. If this name is incorrect I will find out for sure, because seldom do you speak to a representative so knowledgeable and helpful. She agreed with me that I had a problem specific to my computer and waiting up to 48 hrs for a service call was improper. We ran through the standard test and she was unable to help me and agreed the problem was in the modem. She stated a seviceman would be out today, and while speasking to her I asked about an upgrade, the modem with an antennae and she agreed.  Today a very nice serviceman ame out and quickly had me computer up and running. I was so thrilled that it was only after he left I realized that I did not get the modem with an upgrade. I quickley noticed that it appeared I had the same old modem with no new antennae on it and felt it was my old modem. He could have changed it out with one like my old one.. The point is I have been a long time customerand was looking forward to the upgrade I did not get. I now must assume there will be no up gradeeither on purpose or by mistake. I did enroll in your $12.99 monthly service. If it isn't asking too much I would appreciate an upgraded modem, and will drive into Huntington to get it.
