Cooktop Venting Component cooling This process is accomplished by using one side of the blower for exhausting steam and cooking odors. 3-1 THEORY OF OPERATION AirFlow Paths The microwave uses the exhaust blower motor to remove vapors from the cooking area below the unit, it also circulates air within the unit to cool the working components, and the remaining side of the blower motor assembly to pull ambient air into the unit to assist cooking performance and cool the operating components.
