How Can I Receive Cash Back Rather Than Credit For A Return?

I opened a charge and received a discount on my daughter's black Coast coat, size 8.  It was returned and it cost about $450 or $440.  I cannot find my receipt at this point, it's here, but I just can't find it.  Instead of having credit put on my new card, which I haven't received yet, could a check be mailed to me for the amount of the coat?  I have an envelope with all the papers in it....where is the question.  But you should have the record of the return and purchases. Please send me a check and do not leave credit on the new card.
