Stuck In Park What Do I Do

Column shift or floor shift;? if floor shift, there's a small button for your thumb to push, at the top of the shift handle. Does it feel any different from before?..If so, the rod that unlocks the quadrant underneath the plastic is messed up. If this is the type of car that you have to step on the brake before you can shift out of park, then the switch at the top of the brake pedal is probably bad and it is not telling the electric solenoid at the base of the shifter to unlock. There is usually a slot next to the shift lever that lets you either stick a key in there or push a button to manually over-ride the lock mechanism. If it's column shift and the key won't turn, it could be that you need to try to move the steering wheel back and forth to be able to open the key and then take it out of park. Hope this works...
