  1. Check the User Manual:
    • Consult the user manual that came with your washing machine. It often contains a troubleshooting guide that can help you interpret error codes and resolve common issues.
  2. Inspect for Blockages:
    • Check the drain hose and filter for any blockages. A clog in the drainage system can cause the machine to stop.
  3. Verify Door Lock:
    • Ensure that the door is securely closed and the door lock is engaged. Some machines won't operate if the door is not properly closed and locked.
  4. Power Cycle:
    • Turn off the washing machine, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in and restart the cycle to see if the problem persists.
  5. Run a Diagnostic Test (if available):
    • Some washing machines have a diagnostic mode that can help identify specific issues. Refer to your user manual for instructions on how to enter the diagnostic mode and interpret any error codes displayed.
  6. Inspect Water Supply:
    • Ensure that the water supply to the washing machine is adequate. If there's not enough water entering the machine, it may not function properly.
  7. Check for Overloading:
    • Overloading the washing machine can lead to imbalances and cause it to stop. Make sure you are not exceeding the recommended load capacity.
  8. Contact Customer Support:
    • If the issue persists and you are unable to identify the problem, it's advisable to contact the customer support service of the washing machine's manufacturer. They may be able to provide further assistance and recommend a technician if needed

The Frigidaire FFTW1001PW error code rapidly flashing blue light above "clean" followed by three beeps indicates a door switch problem. The door switch is responsible for detecting whether the door is closed properly. If the door switch is faulty, the washer will not start or will stop mid-cycle. To fix the problem, you will need to replace the door switch.

Here are the steps on how to replace the door switch on a Frigidaire FFTW1001PW washer:

Unplug the washer from the electrical outlet.

Open the washer door.

Locate the door switch. The door switch is usually located near the top of the door opening.

Unplug the electrical connector from the door switch.

Remove the screws that hold the door switch in place.

Remove the door switch from the washer.

Install the new door switch.

Screw the new door switch into place.

Plug the electrical connector into the new door switch.

Close the washer door.

Plug the washer back into the electrical outlet.

Run the washer through a test cycle to make sure that the door switch is working properly.

If you are not comfortable replacing the door switch yourself, you can call a repairman to do it for you.
