Adjusting Audio Volume - Finger Reader Controls?

Dear Friends., I have an HP Pavilion notebook model dv7-3085dx. I'm not sure how to adjust the audio volume from or on the keyboard? I assume these are finger touched controls? On another HP laptop you would hold down the fn and alt buttons and on the other side of the keyboard there are clearly marked keys with pg up and pg down with speaker icons on the keys as well.Perhaps for some strange reason the finger touch controls aren't working or disabled somehow. These are the illuminated speaker - and speaker + with bars in between them and next to that are what appears to be (rewind?) |<< > >>| (fast forward?) and then a small illuminated square. What am I missing please.Thank You in advance for your care, cooperation and attention to this matter.Respectfully, Raphael
