How Do I Connect A Sharp Kioe2411rcz2 Scanner To My Xe-a407 770-714-3016 Phil

To connect a Sharp KIOE2411RCZ2 scanner to your Sharp XE-A407 cash register, please follow these steps:
- Turn off your cash register and scanner.
- Connect the RS-232 cable (supplied with the scanner) to the scanner and the other end to the RS-232 port on the back of the cash register.
- Turn on the cash register and scanner.
- On the cash register, press the "Mode" key and select "PGM" mode.
- Press "3" and then "SUBTOTAL" to enter the communication settings.
- Select the communication speed for the scanner by using the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys. The scanner manual should specify the baud rate required. Once selected, press "CASH" to confirm the selection.
- Use the arrow keys to move to the next setting, "Data Length," and press "CASH" to confirm the selection.
- Repeat step 7 for the "Parity" and "Stop Bit" settings.
- Once all communication settings are complete, press "SUBTOTAL" to exit the communication settings menu.
- The scanner should now be connected to the cash register and ready to use.
