High Current Fuses High current fuses are part of the wiring harness for some electrical equipment. Ford recommends that are circuit protectors that high current fuses be purchased from your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer. The high current fuse panel is located in the engine compartment near the battery. These, like fuses, open when the circuit load exceeds their amperage rating. RWARNING Always disconnect the battery before servicing high current fuses. High current fuses may be replaced by a qualified technician. 275
