Is there a number to customer support for AT&T Uverse so i can speak to a human being and not a computer

As long as you call during business hours and are willing to be on hold (easier said than don with U-verse) yes, there is a number and a method.
Dial 1-800-288-2020, press # to speak to a live person when prompted to state your issue. Hours are: Monday through Saturday 10:00am-8:00pm EST.
