If you call for Technical Support at 1-800-288-2020 24/7 the automated phone system you will get an L1 resource. Start there so as not to offend but if their suggestions do not work, ask for an L2 (level 2 tech support) resource person.
Do NOT do a Disaster Recovery as that will ensure that your lost recordings are truly gone.
Before you call, you can try a soft reset by pressing the AT&T button on the remote (it must blink red) and powering off. Wait 30 seconds and power on by holding the power button for 10 seconds. This might restore your lost recorded TV and it might not.
You can also do this more effectively if you
- press the AT&T mode button until it flashes red.
- Power off from the remote.
- Press and hold the power button on the receiver until its lights flash.
- When you have a TV picture again, check your Recorded TV
If that doesn't work, call AT&T U-verse. While there are other suggestions which should not cause a loss of the recordings, they might. It is possible that your receiver will need to be replaced.
