  1. Turn on your receiver and set with your remote.
  2. Press the AT&T button in the upper left corner of the remote
  3. Power off
  4. Hold the Power button for at least 5 seconds to restore
  5. If your channel is still unavailable call AT&T U-verse at 1-800-288-2020 and request U-Verse TV Tech Support
  6. Although you might be on hold for a few minutes, it is important that you report the channel with which you were having an issue. The problem might not be your equipment. Moreover, Tech Support can walk you through resets again. Ask that they keep your complaint open.
  7. Should you have the same problem again - especially with the same channel, you can call Tech Support and they will already have the issue in front of them.  Moreover, you can ask for Tier 2 support.

I certainly hope this helps.  I know I have gone through this situation several times.

It is not unusual to lose the picture with AT&T U-verse and you might need a Technician service call visit. Since you usually have to pay for this service even if it was an original installation error, this is a last resort.

When your screen goes blank, can you switch to local channels and view them?  If so, another way to reboot is from the receiver.

  1. Hold the power button on the front left side of the receiver - the lights will flash
  2. Make sure the TV powers on and tune again to your channel.
  3. Even though the picture may be restored, I suspect the the issue is really transmission which is corrected while you are resetting the receiver.
