Since callers to AT&T U-verse are met a recorded suggestion to check for information online, it would be so user-friendly for AT&T to keep an up-to-date list of communities in which there were problems and loss of service. r perhaps an interactive where you could enter your address or zip code to learn if it was your equipment or your general area. Sometimes it is nice to know we're not alone.
I've suggested this idea to an AT&T rep and requested that the novel customer service concept be passed upwards. It would make for less consumer hostility. It just makes good public relations sense.
Will it happen? Don't count on it. Is it needed? Absolutely. Would you have used such a service or did you lose all connectivity?
If you are able to call out during such an outage, 1-800-288-2020 and ask for Tech Support. Ask them to check for you as they often don't know if you call in promptly as the reports and queries are just coming in.
