My 7540 Stopped Charging Battery. Can I Remove It And Use It With No Battery?

Usually, it will work just off the charger.
It is worth trying anyway, as it can often be the chage unit, that has become faulty. They tend to have a weak point where the cable comes out towards the laptop as it is often bent many times when in use.
