Runaway Backup Process
W ithout any action on my part Acronis 2014 tries to backup my data. It has filled a disk on two occassions. I have searched high and low for some switch to toggle to turn off the backups but I can't find it. In the System Configuration (msconfig) I've unchecked any Acronis reference under the Startup tab and checked Selective Startup. That should have killed any attempt to run periodic backup routines. I don't want Acronis to do a darned thing unless I invoke it and tell it what I want it to do. What can I do to stop these processes and what can I do to prevent them from starting? Thanks.

Hi. Start > Control Panel > Large Icons view > Administrative Tools > Services > locate Non Stop Backup > then click on "Stop service". Then double click on Non stop backup and open the "start up type" dropdown menu. Select disable instead of Auto-start. Then restart the computer.
