It is really dependant on your insurance company, but normally one mamogram is covered per year. If you happen to need another for medical reasons, depending on your type of insurance, you may need to get it approved by your insurance company prior to getting the mamogram more than once. It helps if you can get your doctor to request this as a need of medical necessity.
