My 5 Year Old Akai Tv Is Making Me Crazy.
My 5 year old AKAI tv is making me crazy. I have a 32 in AKAI and just recently it has started to act up. When I turn it on it takes forever and then it goes to a blue screen. At first I thought it was the cable company's problem. They came out 3 times and finally told me it was my tv. When I press the power button I get a blue screen with the AKAI on it, then it changes to a smaller blue screen. If I push the source button several times I will get a funny orange line with little short yellow lines coming from it, then I get a bunch of yellow numbers and letters, then if I turn it off and on a few times it will at some point turn on. We then leave the tv on all day and mute it if we are interested in watching tv in the evening. Now this morning I started "my routine" and nothing has happened!!! The tv is not that old, there is no reason it should be worn out already. I am frustrated, mad, and totally disappointed in AKAI. Please tell me there is a fix for this problem, or there will never be another AKAI in my house.

"The tv is not that old...." Five years is well beyond the warranty period of most TVs. I suggest you call the company, which can recommend a service facility: 323-281-0782.
