What Is Wrong With Email Status Feature? Why Does It Say 'unknown'?

Rather than giving the time message was read, clicking "status" sayds "unknown". Why? Is AOL going to correct this?

AOL has the ability to determine when an email was read for AOL email addresses only. Therefore, if it's an external email address (anything other than @aol.com), it will display "unknown" because it cannot determine that information for external addresses.
